Find out the real estate prices in Mulhouse as of September 1, 2024

Property prices in Mulhouse have been rising over the past year. They have now reached 2,094 euros per m², according to the exclusive Bien’Ici barometer for BFM Immo.

Mulhouse real estate is progressing and the average price has now reached 2,094 euros per m² in September (prices displayed in advertisements before negotiations), according to figures from our partner Bien’Ici*. Over a month, prices are up 2.1% and, over a year, they have increased by 7.5%.

On the rental side, prices are also increasing. Thus, the average price of a rental comes to 13.8 euros per m2. For a studio, you will have to pay an average of 415 euros per month and for a 3-room apartment 700 euros.

In Mulhouse, the population has been declining in recent years. According to INSEE, the city had 108,038 inhabitants in 2020, compared to 111,167 in 2014 and 111,156 in 2009 (i.e. -2.8% since 2009). People without professional activity form the most represented socio-professional category (27.4% of the population aged 15 or over). Next come retirees (21.1%), workers (17%), employees (15.5%) and intermediate professions (10.4%).

The least common socio-professional category in Mulhouse is farmers (0.0% of the population), followed by craftsmen, traders, business leaders (2.4%) then executives and higher intellectual professions (6.1%).

The number of primary residences has been generally increasing in recent years (58,377 in 2020, compared to 55,707 in 2009). The number of secondary residences and occasional accommodation is also increasing: there were 450 in 2009, there are now 1,093. Vacant housing is also increasing, from 7,250 in 2009 to 9,335 in 2020.
