Discover real estate prices in Le Havre as of August 1, 2024

Real estate prices are falling in Le Havre. They now reach 2,512 euros per m², according to the exclusive Bien’Ici barometer for BFM Immo.

Real estate in Le Havre is falling and the average price has now reached 2,512 euros per m² in August (price displayed in advertisements before negotiation), according to figures from our partner Bien’Ici*. Over a month, prices are down 5.3% and, over a year, they have decreased by 5%.

On the rental side, prices are increasing. Thus, the average rental price comes to 17.1 euros per m2. For a studio, you will need to pay an average of 440 euros per month and for a 3-room apartment 744 euros.

The population of Le Havre has declined in recent years, according to INSEE. 177,259 inhabitants lived in Le Havre in 2009 compared to 165,830 today. Retirees form the most widespread socio-professional category with 27.4% of the population aged 15 and over, followed by “other people without professional activity”. The least common socio-professional category – apart from farmers (0% of the population) – is craftsmen, shopkeepers, and business leaders.

The number of primary residences has decreased. There were 81,546 in 2009 compared to 81,382 in 2020. On the other hand, the number of secondary residences has increased from 986 in 2009 to 2,230 in 2020. And the number of vacant housing has soared (10,215 in 2020 compared to 6,137 in 2009).
