There was already the trick of the car trunk left permanently open; as long as the location of the license plate is on it! And now, there is the trick of the fake “bnadem” (Arabic word which means “man” in French, Editor’s note) / the mannequin left permanently behind the wheel!

Filmed in the rue de la Briqueterie in Brussels, the video of this new trick designed to fool scan cars and avoid their automatic fines is currently creating a buzz on social media with the following comment: “Brussels in all its splendor, too much genius in this city”!
“When a scan car detects that the driver of the car is still behind the wheel, the charge is automatically cancelled because we have to give him time to go to the parking meter. They understood the trick, it’s clever, but it’s illegal! We mustn’t forget that there are also foot patrols who pass by and it certainly won’t work with them!” comments Pierre Vassart, spokesperson for Parking Brussels.
