Will Storm Herminia be as strong as the storm Éowyn ? Maybe. In all cases, Météo-France has placed 9 departments on orange alert for the day of Sunday January 26, 2025.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, the meteorological site therefore places the departments of Calvados, from Ille-et-Vilaineof Mayenne, of Oise and Seine-Maritime for flood risks. Moreover, as our local reports, news Rennesthe prefecture of the Brittany region, finds itself overwhelmed by water.

THE Côtes-d'Armorthe FinistèreTHE Pyrénées-Atlantiques and the Hautes-Pyrénées are the four departments placed on orange vigilance for vent violenta direct consequence of the arrival of storm Herminia. Around fifty other departments are in yellow for this same reason.

For the day of Sunday January 26, Météo-France has placed a total of 52 departments on yellow alert for wind, but also floods, thunderstorms, rain-floods, and snow-ice.

The Herminia depression, currently over the Atlantic, off the coast of Ireland, “will give very disturbed conditions again for the day on Sunday”, specifies Météo France in its bulletin.
