Serious accident in Vernamiège: the 89-year-old motorist died

A serious traffic accident occurred on January 8 in Vernamiège (VS). An 89-year-old motorist, who was carrying out a crossing maneuver, lost control of his vehicle and rolled down an embankment for several tens of meters. Seriously injured in the accident, the Swiss octogenarian did not survive. He died on Monday in hospital, reports the Valais cantonal police.
