The accident apparently occurred after a collision between the aircraft and two paragliders who escaped unhurt, but shocked. However, we have no news from the pilots.
Terrible accident in Savoie. This Tuesday around 4:55 p.m., a tourist plane occupied by two people crashed on the roof of a chalet in Méribel-Les Allues which was then unoccupied, according to information from the Dauphiné Libéré . According to initial reports, it appears that the crash was due to a collision between the plane and two tandem paragliders. The latter were reportedly found shocked but unharmed.
A helicopter was immediately sent to the accident site while the gendarmes had to give up entering the chalet due to the risk of collapse and fire. The two occupants of the plane are currently being sought, their state of health “is not yet known, at the moment” declared the public prosecutor of Albertville to the Dauphiné Libéré.
-Still according to our colleagues, an important emergency system has been put in place. The Samu and the fire rescue and clearance unit are mobilized on site while the Chambéry air transport gendarmerie brigade must go to the scene of the accident.
