Greenpeace activists evacuated from WEF

Two activists dressed in suits climbed onto a platform using a ladder before brandishing a banner calling for taxation of the super rich. Security evacuated them a few minutes before the official opening of the WEF after a moment of hesitation, Keystone-ATS noted.

The organization and other movements have carried out several actions in recent days. Activists notably sprayed the Amazon sign on the main street of Davos with green paint.

Greenpeace, for its part, tried to block the exit from the heliport where private jets land. The police quickly intervened. Other actions took place last weekend also in Graubünden and Bern.
