Aviva Investors: new co-head of the Global High Yield division

The global asset management business of Aviva plc, announces the appointment of Fabrice Pellous as Co-Head of Global High Yield Segment.

Aviva Investors, the international asset management business of Aviva plc (“Aviva”), has announced the appointment of Fabrice Pellous as Co-Head of Global High Yield Segment.

Fabrice will work alongside Sunita Kara (Co-Head of Global High Yield) to lead the firm’s Global High Yield segment team and report directly to Fraser Lundie, Global Head of Fixed Income.

He will be based in London, and his appointment represents an additional asset to the firm’s Fixed Income team, following the announcement of the hiring of Fraser in May 2024, as well as the appointment of Gita Bal as as Head of Fixed Income Research earlier this month.

Fabrice has over 25 years of experience in the investment sector. He most recently worked as an emerging markets and high yield portfolio manager at Invesco, where he spent over a decade of his career. He also held various positions at Legal & General, AllianceBernstein and AXA Investment Management, among others.

Although he has primarily worked in the high yield space, Fabrice has also progressed across the Investment Grade and Emerging Markets teams, and will therefore be well placed to contribute to the wider Fixed Income department.

Fraser Lundie, global head of fixed income, explains:

“I am incredibly happy to see Fabrice join our group. As with Gita’s appointment earlier this month, he will bring insights and skills from over two decades of experience in this sector to our team. Alongside Sunita, he will lead our high yield investment department and contribute to the various activities of Aviva Investors’ Fixed Income investment team. The team and I look forward to working with Fabrice.”

Daniel McHugh, Chief Investment Officer, précise:

“Fabrice’s appointment represents the latest step in our efforts to expand our fixed income investment team, which has led us to recruit the likes of Fraser Lundie and Gita Bal over the past twelve months. Fixed income is a central pillar of our public markets offering, and our ambition is to have a market-leading offering across all major sectors in this asset class. I am therefore delighted to welcome Fabrice and I look forward to seeing the impact he will have within the team.”
