before the judges, the sexual attacker of young girls evokes ethyl amnesia

In his entourage, young girls call him “uncle”. It is a former soldier now aged 49: 25 years of service in communications, more of the taciturn type and willingly raising his elbow in the evenings.

He is also known for his wandering handsses salacious remarks and other racist ramblings. Two of the family's daughters, one aged 13 and the other barely an adult at the time of the events, will also quickly discover that the “uncle” can do much worse…

In the criminal court

More than four years after the acts committed between July and November 2019, in Quiers and Andrezel, in Seine-et-Marne, they find themselves accusers and also civil parties in the criminal court of Melun, against the famous uncle who in the meantime has gone into exile in Vendée to start a new life.

“The acts are serious and could have landed you in court since the presumption of rape has long been accepted,” explains the prosecutor to the defendant, at the hearing on January 8, 2025. In front of his former victims who became young women in old enough to rebel, the man aged around fifty prefers to plead ethyl amnesia. He remembers nothing, or very little: “Drinking! I was drinking a lot and I didn’t know what I was doing anymore… I wasn’t myself.”

The president explains to him that in such a case, “ the alcohol empire is not an exculpatory factor, but on the contrary, aggravating. »

But the young woman maintains that there was indeed digital penetration. During a family evening, while she was crouching down to pick up a drink spilled by another guest, the uncle allegedly slipped his hand under her clothes, in front of the guests. The young girl, beside herself, then pushed her against the wall before being held back by witnesses to the scene. “What did you want to do?” », asks the president. “Give him a right,” she replies, still upset.

A 13-year-old victim

The other victim was even younger at the time of the incident. Thirteen years old ! She remembers the touching fleeting under the table, of a torn dress, of salacious and unequivocal invitations. She also recalls that the uncle waited for her in his boxers lying on his bed or appeared completely naked in front of her in the middle of the night.

Faced with all these charges, the accused remains silent or laconic, his head buried in his shoulders. The plaintiffs also explain the after-effects left by these experiences: the anxieties and the convulsive need to still hide one's body from the eyes of others, by layering layers of clothing.

Suspended prison

The lawyer for the civil parties deplores the defendant's attitude towards the court: “The victims would have preferred clear confessions and regrets rather than this alleged loss of memory.”

In his submissions, the prosecutor returns to the first indictment for rape before this requalification in assaults sexual. He also speaks of “the disturbing personality of a salacious uncle giving free rein to his impulses, even in public”. He requires three years in prison, two of which are suspended.

For the defense, M^e Agathe Boissavy deplores “that no member of the family circle or friends has risen to reframe such an individual”. She also emphasizes that “the victims are always very alone at this time of the trial since no one is present to support them. »

Ultimately, the court sentences the individual to three years in prison fully accompanied by suspension, with a duty of care and the ban on contact with the victims. It is also recorded the registration for sex offender file and will have to compensate its victims.
