Every year, Transport Canada issues recalls affecting vehicles sold in Canada. You should know that a recall is issued if the manufacturer or NHTSA (Transport Canada here) determines that a vehicle or one of its equipment presents a safety risk.
Although the term “recall” may seem strange these days, because some recalls are corrected with software updates, a recall remains a legal and regulated operation, regardless of how the problem is resolved. Recalls are important to the RPM team because they are one of the indicators of a model’s reliability.
Here are the brands with the most recalls in 2024 as well as the total number of vehicles recalled in Canada.
