Teams that compete through robots, through different missions in less than 3 minutes. This is what you were able to see if you went to the Strate J building in Delémont this Saturday. These teams, around fifteen, made up of participants aged 6 to 16 years old particularly from the Jura, from the north-west of Switzerland more generally and from the Mittelland, competed within the framework of the First Lego League Jura, a competition of robotics. This regional selection, whose best teams will advance to a Swiss final in the hope of later reaching the European or even world level, took place in an atmosphere that was friendly to say the least.
Music and slightly crazy presenters punctuated an event which still pursued quite serious goals, as explained by Daniel Renaud, president of the Robots-JU association, regional partner of the First Lego League: “The teams have matches robot that they have been preparing for several months, a scientific research project to present, and a robot design to explain. » Prerogatives that the teams seem to have understood well, judging by the involvement of the participants. /tbe
