Figeac. : in 2025, the Aprodia team wants to pick beautiful bouquets

With more than forty years of experience, the Aprodia group based in Figeac specializes in vending machines for hot drinks and sweets. Alain Auguié, its CEO, is well known in the sporting world, notably with the takeover in 2002 of the Vélotoise organization, created two years earlier by Robert, his father.

“After three great years spent as a partner of the GSF under the presidency of Pierre Bonnet, I decided to return to my first love, , by creating the Aprodia team. A team which would bring together young hopeful cyclists, from 18 to 25 years old I was thinking of riding it in Figeac, but encountering some difficulties, and on the advice of Guy Cabrol, a well-known amateur cyclist from Aveyron, I contacted Guidon Decazevillois who was kind enough. host us. Aprodia spans twelve departments, and cycling is a sport that speaks to the public, in short, for me it is an excellent communication medium.”

Mattéo Martinez, also a runner, is the young president, while Guy Cabrol has returned to service by occupying the position of sports director.

“For the 2025 season, we have ten good runners, some of whom have already proven themselves, he explains. Notably Elian Pialhoux from Rignac who has already raced in a Spanish pro reserve, Erwan Soulié de Capdenac champion of cadet then junior, Alexandre Mieulet who comes to us from L'Occitane, Jimmy Morris from Limogne who ran in a national team or Nathan Célié, member of the French mountain bike team, who will do some road tests with us.

With its official car and its mechanics van, both Aprodia branded, the team participates in high-quality regional races, such as the Lafrançaise – Lafrançaise, which will open the season. Then there will be the Boucles de Leucate, the Tour du pays d'Horte & Arrigans near Peyrehorade, the Tour de la CABA d', the Tour des Écureuils in the Landes, all Open stage races. There will also be the Tour du Lot, the Vayrac and Marcolès criteriums, etc.

“After a great 2024 season, where we rode very well, I dream of a great 2025 season, with a real presence in all the events, in particular the Tour des Écureuils which I would like to pin on our list of achievements,” concludes Guy Cabrol.
