Ram will be the last American manufacturer to offer an electric pickup truck. The 1500 REV model has been introduced and its debut is going to happen within the next 18 months.
The company will also offer a range extender version, the Ramcharger model. The latter was supposed to arrive after the electric version, but we recently learned that it is he who will arrive first, in order to meet the needs and expectations of consumers.
This week, according to what we learn from the Mopar Insiders site, Ram would not offer the larger of the two batteries that was planned, a 229 kWh unit, with its all-electric model. This battery is more massive than the one found in General Motors vans, which benefit from a 205 kWh unit.
Instead, Ram will limit the offering to that of the smallest 168 kWh battery.

-The decision would be linked to the fact that the company decided to offer the Ramcharger model first. The latter will offer very interesting autonomy, due to the presence of the gasoline engine. The 229 kWh battery should allow the all-electric version to travel some 800 km between recharges. With the 168 kWh battery, the range will be around 565 km.
This decision will certainly have a downward effect on the price of the model, but you should not expect it to be affordable.
