With its new internet box, Bouygues Telecom is banking on an anti-Free positioning

The Bouygues subsidiary is betting on the raw performance of its product while its rival had focused on a plethora of content offerings. An axis of differentiation that she hopes will pay off.

Bouygues Telecom's sting did not go unnoticed. At a press conference this Thursday, the telecoms operator presented its latest internet box, on which it has been working for more than a year. Called “Bbox Wifi 7”, it integrates the best technologies available in terms of fixed connectivity, including Wi-Fi 7 certification, delivered by the Wi-Fi Alliance, which is an authority in the sector. A label which allowed Benoît Torloting, the operator's boss, to drive a wedge against one of his rivals. « The box really delivers the standard performance. It's real Wi-Fi 7, not partial, like some competitors. »
