End of incentive program for zero-emission vehicles

The Bloc Québécois spokesperson for Transport, Xavier Barsalou-Duval and the MP for Berthier-Maskinongé, Yves Perron are outraged by the sudden end of the federal government’s incentive program for zero-emission vehicles.

“Last Friday, Transport Canada announced that the program would run out of funds before March 31 and 48 hours later, the Liberals ended the program! When it comes to improvisation and haystack management, you couldn’t find worse! », deplores Xavier Barsalou-Duval.

Through this action, the government is creating chaos in all car dealerships in Quebec and surprising many consumers who had promises to purchase in hand, explain the deputies.

However, Yves Perron supports the dealers’ request to respect the commitments and contracts already signed.
