INTERVIEW – The president of the packaging distribution group confronts the reality of being a boss with her personal commitments.

Danièle Marcovici joined the company founded in 1954 by her mother and her partner at the age of 16. A salesperson for ten years, she then held various positions before becoming general manager of Raja in 1982. The company employed 50 people for a turnover of 8 million euros. Since then, the 78-year-old manager has transformed Raja into Europe’s number one packaging distribution company. The group employs 5,000 people in 19 countries. It achieved a turnover of 1.7 billion euros in 2023.

DANIÈLE MARCOVICI. – I have always had the desire to develop the company by cultivating solid fundamentals and values ​​such as the quality of the offer and service. We listen to customers and favor dialogue to meet their needs. Our suppliers are European, and the relationships built aim to make them long-term partners…
