Aspect du packaging : For Delhaize, we liked the fact that the product was well highlighted with a photo, which was also very realistic compared to the product that we subsequently tasted. This is rare enough to be noted. It was also very good at Intermarché, by the way. For Colruyt, it was extremely simple, difficult to say anything about it other than that the product was well highlighted. For Carrefour, the label was also very simple, but with the words “gourmet caterer” which reassured customers. Finally, it was much cheaper at Aldi.
Product appearance: Overall, everything looked pretty good and smelled good, there wasn’t a product that didn’t make me want it. But the best student was by far, and by far, Colruyt. It was worthy of a homemade product, both visually and in terms of smell.
Nutritional value: Nutri-Score C for everyone.
The big brand test: for the raclette season, we tested another major brand, with evolving competition (COMPARATIVE)
Label readability: It was written too small at Delhaize, but all the information was there. It was much worse at Carrefour and even illegible with writing almost on top of each other. However, it was perfect at Intermarché, nothing to say. For Aldi, it was barely better than Carrefour… Finally, it was also too small, like Delhaize, for Colruyt.
Taste : we start with Delhaize. We found the potatoes too floury, and the whole thing lacked a little finesse and taste. Nothing bad, but not very exciting either. At Carrefour, it was already more flavorful, with good quality products. It was perhaps a little too salty. At Intermarché, it tasted really good like Reblochon. Anyone who likes cheese in quantity will find what they’re looking for, unlike at Carrefour, but the whole thing was a little too disgusting. Let’s say it was the same level, but in two different styles. For Aldi, we were surprised, but not positively. If it wasn’t terrible, it was more like a potato gratin with a white sauce, a little cheese to gratin on top, and some bacon. It tasted mostly like nutmeg. Anyone looking for a real tartiflette will be very disappointed… Finally, Colruyt is well above the fray. Everything was better, this is the product to recommend with your eyes closed.
The big test of brands: for the county, only one reference to recommend (COMPARATIVE)
Value for money: here are the prices in order for a portion of two people: Carrefour (€7), Delhaize (€6.09), Colruyt (€5.85), Intermarché (€3.99) and Aldi (€3.49) .
