An incident occurred at the end of the day on Saturday on the Lausanne-Fribourg railway line, forcing the CFF to interrupt traffic between Romont and Vauderens, in the canton of Fribourg.
According to information published by the SBB, the incident was due to an external cause. All trains on lines IC, IC1, IR15, RE, S40 and S41 had to be canceled. Replacement buses were to take care of the passengers.
Furthermore, trains traveling between Geneva-Airport and Bern, Geneva-Airport and Basel and Geneva-Airport and Sursee via Zurich had to be diverted via Bienne.
According to the CFF website, these disruptions and the delays they cause were expected to last at least until 9 p.m. Saturday. Later in the evening, this information was updated at 9:30 p.m. By the end of the evening, this disturbance was no longer mentioned, indicating that the situation had been restored.
