Circular Ring 2

The Ring 2 of the Circular brand

We have already talked about connected rings in these humble pages. None are perfect. The Ring 2 from the Circular brand suggests that perhaps one day they will be. Already, she is getting rid of the fitting kit needed to find the right size: her website has digitized everything. Then it has every sensor imaginable, including an electrocardiogram, and can track atrial fibrillation, an indicator of heart health. All of this is approved by the FDA, the American health authority, and the ring can be used with an iPhone or Android phone without a monthly subscription. However, it costs $550.

Eufy E20

The Eufy E20 three-in-one vacuum cleaner

This three-in-one robot vacuum cleaner is ingenious. First, it has one of the most powerful suction systems in its category. Then, this system is detachable. You take it in your hand and add a simple nozzle to make it a small hand vacuum cleaner, practical for cleaning the table or counter of croissant crumbs. Or: you attach the compatible hose and brush to make it a standing vacuum cleaner that you can use yourself, where its robotic version cannot reach. Three vacuum cleaners in one, then. Priced at just $650, when it goes on sale later this year.

Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable

Le ThinkBook

Lenovo has created a laptop whose screen unfolds to offer 50% more pixels. It was necessary, if only to properly print the entire name of the device! More seriously, the 14-inch diagonal screen rises to stretch its diagonal to 16.7 inches. And that’s not all, since this PC is powered by the latest Core Ultra chips from Intel, it is ready for the advent of WiFi 7 and it obviously comes with a whole suite of applications. AI which aims to further enhance the productivity of its user. Its price: $5,000.

Lockly Style

The Styla connected lock and handle from Lockly

It’s hands down the most stylish smart lock yet. The Styla is actually a long front door handle that the owner of a mansion would not disdain, in which the company Lockly has embedded a doorbell, a video camera, a fingerprint reader and a classic deadbolt lock . You can unlock it by approaching your wireless device, by facial recognition, with your finger, or by voice command, since its mobile application allows you to pair it with the main digital assistants in vogue these days. Obviously, all this has to be paid for: $1000.

Samsung Frame Pro

Samsung’s Frame Pro

Samsung’s Frame TV range has created a small revolution in the way we consider the role of these devices on a living room wall. Displaying artwork like a traditional frame when it’s turned off is quite a bit more elegant than the huge black slab you see otherwise. The Korean brand has therefore decided to double down this year with the Frame Pro. This television is equipped with a very bright display technology called NeoQLED, and inherits a wireless connection base into which you can plug other peripherals without harming the aesthetics of the whole. Its price starts at $1300.

Claviers SQT

Three years ago, the CEO of the Chinese company SQT created the keyboard with colors inspired by makeup sets (bottom model), which was a huge success.

Pronounced in English “S cutie”, and that sums up the product well: this is a range of very cute keyboards, with pastel-colored keys. The first model was created three years ago by the big boss of the Chinese company SQT, explains Juanjuan Huang behind his stand. The touches included colors of foundation and lipstick. “It became very popular; In no time, all the keyboards were sold, says Mme Juan Juan Huang. We then declined these keyboards with very soft colors. They appeal to young girls and women. »

Showcase Hologram

Andrew Kuhlman, de Showcase Hologram

Displaying a real hologram in a glass box, which you want to be personalized or animated, is expensive. To offer an affordable product, Andrew Kuhlman, of Showcase Hologram, used a truly stunning solution: a fan on which two lines of light-emitting diodes are installed, giving an image that appears to float in the air when the blades rotate. The illusion, by the way, is impossible to capture in photos. “The glass is to prevent people from putting their fingers in the fan,” says Mr. Kuhlman. You can display a personal video, R2D2, unicorns, a virtual aquarium, choose between around thirty images or animations. The price ranges from US$120 to US$5,000 for large “holograms” of almost two meters.

Mogo

In this demonstration, the Mogo follows by rotating a photo on which the iPhone camera is blocked.

We suspected that a device like the Mogo existed, but not at the very low price of US$89. Designed by the company Comitok, the Mogo is essentially an articulated arm on which you hang your iPhone using its MagSafe attachment. After connecting the two devices, which Lijun Wang did in front of us in 20 seconds, we lock the iPhone camera on a particular face. The arm will then move in all directions, up and down and sideways, to follow this face. You can even control the iPhone’s zoom remotely with an Apple Watch.

Virtue

Dave Baarman presents the two Hyve variants expected to hit the market this spring.

The Hyve is quite simply a smart chest around fifty centimeters high that you leave in front of your front door, ready to receive your packages. Powered by solar energy, connected to the internet by WiFi, it communicates live notifications when a package is received and unlocks remotely or with a code provided to the delivery person. It takes a photo of the package that has been placed inside and has a blaring alarm if anyone tries to wrench it from its anchoring system. It will go on sale in the spring at a planned price of US$299.

Suprem Hybrid

With its 70 inflatable cushions, heating points and 3D massage rollers, the Daiwa Suprem Hybrid is very far from the classic massage chair.

Okay, so the price of Daiwa’s all-new Suprem Hybrid massage chair, US$13,500, makes no sense. But visitors to CES were able to try it for free and did not miss it, seeing the endless lines. We are very far here from the classic armchair with rollers that move behind your back. This “shiatsu therapist” locks your legs and arms, stretches you in every direction, makes you bend your back at impossible angles. Its 70 inflatable cushions, heating points and 3D massage rollers activate according to 36 programs.
