The editor-in-chief of Vogue posed without his famous dark glasses during a dinner in Washington. And his very “filtered” face did not fail to provoke a reaction.
Rare are the opportunities to see Anna Wintour’s face, regularly hidden behind her large sunglasses. But during a dinner in Washington, organized this Friday, January 3, the editor-in-chief of Vogue gave up his legendary accessory to take part in the photo game. The chef of the restaurant, called the Minetta Tavern, Keith McNally, shared a photo of the woman nicknamed the fashion queen alongside her sister-in-law, Anne McNally, a TV presenter and producer.
We also see Anna Wintour with Paul Wharton, another American television personality.

In comments, Internet users wonder about the extremely smooth face of the septuagenarian. “Why does she look like she’s 14?”, “Anna is 75 years old. Not 25″, “Who put this skin on Anna Wintour?”, “Anna Wintour looks so young”, “This photo scares me”, “I think Anna must have a painting of her aging in her attic “… This last comment referring to the famous Portrait de Dorian Gray, where Oscar Wilde stages a painting that allows its owner to never age.
If some mention surgery – “She must have the same surgeon as Kris Jenner” – others mainly accuse the restaurateur of having abused the filters on his smartphone… “She does not need to be retouched like that!”, “If the photo is not filtered by AI, did you coat the lens with butter?”, “I’m sorry but it’s artificial intelligence”, “What is what is this filter?”, “Did you only have permission to post if his face was massively retouched?”, “AI Anna”…
The only thing that all Internet users agree on? Anna Wintour should definitely ditch the sunglasses. Come to the next Fashion Week to see if she will break this habit which remains as much a signature detail as her iconic bob cut.
