This French bank has significantly increased its account maintenance fees, but this is not the only increase for customers in 2025…
Each year, certain expenses increase according to new pricing and in particular inflation. But a new price list is planned from 2025 for 11 million customers who entrust their savings to this French bank. Indeed, all customers are affected by the increase in account maintenance fees, which go from 18 euros to 20.40 euros this year, while they amounted to 13.20 in 2020. Which corresponds to an increase of 54% in five years, points out the magazine 60 Million Consumers in its December issue. The problem is that this is not the only increase planned for 2025.
The biggest increase concerns NPAI return costs (no longer living at the address indicated): the cost will triple, going from 7 euros to 24 euros next year! And that’s not all: all bank card fees are increasing. For example, the systemically authorized card will now cost 33.30 euros (i.e. 1.80 euros more), the Visa card will see an increase of 5.71%, the Visa Platinium (+0.73%) and the Visa Infinite (+0.73%). Fees linked to overdrafts are also expected to increase by 10%, and this mainly affects customers in the most financial difficulties. “The intervention commission will now be 8 euros compared to 7.90 euros in 2024, which is the legal maximum. specifies the magazine, which adds that the Postal Bank was until then “the last large bank to be under this ceiling”.
People who wish to take out a loan are not spared either since the costs of compiling their loan file increase by 50 euros, going from 250 to 300 euros in 2025. Finally, if you request a certificate linked to your real estate loan, you will have to pay 5 euros more next year (20 euros instead of 15 euros), and to change the account to be debited, count 150 euros instead of 60 euros!
These high-priced services could push many customers to change banks in 2025. It is nevertheless possible to contact your advisor to arrange some of the rates, or to compare offers from other banking establishments.
