This Dacia Sandman 4×4 would sell like hotcakes

Although campervan fever fades somewhat during the winter months, trips are still planned by campervan during this cold season, for example for hiking and climbing in the mountains or for ski. Can you imagine such an “apartment” with this Dacia Sandman 4×4?

This isn't the first time we've shown you a digital recreation of this affordable, two-axle camper, but we think it's the ultimate Sandman, both in terms of design and off-road readiness, and we think it's irresistible!

The people at AutomagzPro have computer-created a brutal vehicle, with high ground clearance, specific tires (the spare wheel is attached to the tailgate, like in an off-roader), sturdy bumpers, protection the bodywork, side sills and even an air vent for moving in the water.

Inside, the only thing that has been created is a dashboard with a modern look, but without giving up conventional controls, a layout that totally convinces us. Although we don't know how the cabin is set up, we can imagine it with a double bed, a full kitchen, stationary heating and hot water.

In summer, the outdoor shower and the awning would be perfect allies to stay cool in hot weather. The sliding side doors and opening windows will also make life easier and the ventilation of the passenger compartment.

As the Dacia Sandman 4×4 is an affordable motorhome, all-wheel drive would be via a simple Haldex clutch which would automatically engage both axles in the event of loss of grip. Of course, we would like a diesel engine, for example the 1.5 Blue dCi with 115 hp that the Romanian brand used in its passenger cars and SUVs.

They tried

Unfortunately, Dacia does not plan to develop a dedicated motorhome. The only way to own a Dacia campervan is therefore to buy one of the many preparations made by independent companies. An example is the Dokker which you can see just above this paragraph.

We will continue to press the Renault Group firm with articles of this type, as the demand for affordable motorhomes continues to increase and even exponentially at certain times of the year. What business is Dacia missing!
