Louise Leroux has a little difficulty finishing her speech.

The young woman's voice was altered by emotion as she thanked the Alpine employees who accompanied her during her apprenticeship in the automobile painting sector of the Dieppe factory.

She, the little girl who only dreamed of cars, found herself too often the target of mockery about a passion that had nothing “feminine” in it to forget where it came from.

A revenge

Thursday December 12, 2024it was as winner of the prize for supporting professional training and apprenticeship, awarded by the society of members of the Legion of Honor of Dieppe (Seine-Maritime), that she spoke: “I am very happy to receive this prize which rewards my work and which is also a revenge,” says Louise Leroux to the audience who came to applaud her, made up of members of Alpine and local elected officials.

Two exemplary journeys

Anne-Catherine Basset, director of the Dieppe factory, highlighted how Louise was an exemplary, determined and motivated apprentice. “I chose this profession as an automobile painter out of passion and I hope to inspire other women to be able to live from their passion whatever they are told,” concludes the young winner.

At his side, Souleymane Gneme. Arriving from sub-Saharan Africa in Dieppe a few years ago, the young man had a complicated start in . “It wasn’t easy at all,” he said. He owes his integration and his success in part to the company Accel, specializing in industrial electricity, which he discovered during a 3-year internship.e.

“He made us grow”

“I really want to thank them very much,” continues Souleymane. The young man won the second prize for apprenticeship awarded by the society of members of the Legion of Honor under the eyes of the company's director, Thomas Leborgne.

“We took him in four years ago and watched him grow up. It must also be said that he made us grow,” says the director of Accel. The two young winners are both students of Émulation Dieppoise.
