The transporter who supplied the Leclerc service station in Loroux-Bottereau made a mistake in supplying the tanks with diesel and gasoline. Several motorists broke down.
It was a mistake that cost some motorists dearly. The transporter who refueled the Leclerc service station in Loroux-Bottereau, in Loire-Atlantique, made a mistake on Tuesday, December 17, between the tanks of diesel and unleaded gasoline, reports Actu.
“During its delivery of fuel, the carrier inadvertently reversed the diesel and SP95 E10 in the tanks, causing breakdowns on several of our customers' vehicles,” explains Leclerc's after-sales service.
Mechanical malfunctions
The delivery, which began around “1:20 p.m.”, “was cut off at 3:30 p.m. upon receipt of the first calls”.
“Customers who have suffered damage will of course be taken care of, files are already being processed by our customer service,” adds the brand.
According to our colleagues, several motorists suffered mishaps with their vehicles after refueling at the station. On social networks, one of them reports having broken down shortly after, another recounts mechanical malfunctions in her car.
The mixed fuel was pumped out, and the service station was fully operational on Thursday, December 19.
