EXCLUSIVE – Professionals, accompanied by two national federations, are filing an appeal this Friday against the City of Paris to cancel the limited traffic zone, established at the beginning of November by prefectural decree.
It is a standoff that is only just beginning between Parisian traders and the City of Paris. A few weeks after the establishment of a « limited traffic area » (ZTL) in the heart of the capital, within 1is2e3e et 4e districts, on November 4, the professionals did not take off. This 5.5 km² space is no longer accessible to all vehicles and only emergency vehicles, buses, tourist coaches, taxis and traffic. « destination » – who have a point of departure or arrival in the sector – are authorized to go there. Enough to annoy the traders of these districts, who filed, this Friday, a legal action with the administrative court of Paris and denounce, in a joint press release sent exclusively to the Figaro, « an unfair and detrimental measure to all Parisian businesses and more generally, to Paris ».
