Forvis Mazars Group (formerly Mazars), specializing in audit, tax and consulting, adopts a new governance model designed to promote sustainable growth and strengthen the agility of the Group. With this new model, governance, definition of strategy and monitoring of key issues are ensured by the Group Governing Board (GGB). It thus has 15 members including Abdou Diop, Managing Partner of Forvis Mazars in Morocco, elected at the end of the General Assembly of Partners of Forvis Mazars Group.
The election of Abdou Diop demonstrates Forvis Mazars Group’s confidence in its abilities to contribute to the ongoing transformation of Forvis Mazars, by carrying the vision and values of the group while promoting the alignment of global and local objectives.
By joining the Group Governing Board, Abdou Diop will play a crucial role in developing the company’s overall strategies, defining governance directions and developing long-term projects that will shape the future of the organization in more from 100 countries. For Abdou Diop “ This election as a member of the Group Governing Board is a source of pride and I thank all the Associates who trusted me and elected me. For the first time in the history of the Firm, Morocco and its Managing Partner are represented in the highest governance bodies of the Group. This election reflects work accomplished over several years, both individually and collectively. Over the years, our leadership and vision have allowed us to stand out through our approach, combining rigor, excellence, innovation and proximity to our clients. We have carried out initiatives that strengthen our local and continental expertise while fully complying with the network’s standards of excellence.».
Alongside the GGB, a Group Executive Committee (GEC) will be responsible for leading and implementing decisions, as well as ensuring the day-to-day delivery of the Group’s strategy. As President, Hervé Hélias will head the GGB, while Pascal Jauffret, as CEO, will lead the GEC. These developments are part of the Group’s strategy aimed at stimulating the growth of its activities, strengthening the integrity of its operations and sustaining its development as one of the top ten Firms globally.
Hervé Hélias, President of the GGC declared: “Responsibility is one of our core values. As we have grown and consolidated our activities, we have decided to evolve our governance framework. This development will allow us to strengthen our Partnership as a major and resilient player in the markets and societies in which we operate.».
