CI is committed to digital transformation and entrepreneurship

(Ecofin Agency) – Côte d’Ivoire strengthens its commitment to supporting young entrepreneurs and the national vision aimed at positioning the country as a technological hub in West Africa

Friday December 13, 2024, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire convention center in Abidjan, the fifth edition of the WecandA Forum and Awards for young entrepreneurs was held under the theme “Stars of Africa”. This is a national competition which aims to promote entrepreneurship among young people.

On this occasion, the official and strategic partner of the event, Orange Côte d’Ivoire, renewed its commitment to digital transformation and young people through a masterclass entitled: “ digital transformation, how to modernize and automate your business » and presented by Judicaël Koutou. Pre-sales manager at Orange Côte d’Ivoire, he recalled that digital transformation consists of using digital tools with the aim of optimizing a company’s activities.

To digitalize your company, you must know your operational improvement needs to identify the main areas to improve, focus on the priority processes that directly impact the activity, proceed gradually with the transformation and involve the teams in the transformation processes, underlined Mr. Koutou. He is also responsible for supporting companies in identifying and understanding their technological needs as well as how Orange Côte d’Ivoire can support them in their digital transformation.

In addition, the choice of digital solutions depends on several factors, including needs, local constraints and the size of the company. Digital transformation will enable automation to reduce costs, increase turnover and improve customer satisfaction. Thus, Orange Côte d’Ivoire, through its department dedicated to businesses, supports them in their digital transformation strategies, in unified communication and collaboration.

As a reminder, Orange CI announced on Friday, December 6, the upcoming launch of the new subsidiary Orange Cloud and Cyber ​​Solutions which presents innovative solutions including advanced cybersecurity, Cloud offers and enriched connectivity.

The event ended with the distinction of the best young entrepreneurs. Karim Soro from Innov Invest and Ahoua Touré from Maison Mandjou, winners respectively in the men’s and women’s categories, received an envelope of 10 million FCFA ($16,000) each.

Note that WecandA was created in 2019 by young Ivorian entrepreneurs. It aims to promote entrepreneurship among young people by rewarding the best each year with prizes ranging from one million to ten million FCFA.
