Want to continue riding gravel despite the wet and slippery conditions of winter? With the G-One RX Pro, Schwalbe comes at the right time. The German brand completes its “gravel performance” range with this new tire designed for difficult conditions and technical trails. Presentation :
The Schwalbe gravel range is vast and it is not always easy to find your way around. Nevertheless, the brand is starting to put a little order into its different models and the arrival of this new G-One Pro RX should make it possible to have two coherent offers.
Gravel, at Schwalbe, is the G-One family. However, there are no fewer than 13 tire models under this name! To make it easier to navigate, Schwalbe has created sub-families and established a distinction: from now on, the G-One tires will be those intended for adventure and leisure gravel while the G-One Pro will be the performance-oriented models.
This new G-One RX Pro therefore joins the G-One Pro family in order to cover all terrains: very rolling with the G-One RS (a semi-slick), versatile with the G-One R, and difficult conditions (which whether mud or rolling stones) with the G-One RX Pro.
To design it, Schwalbe was inspired by the cyclocross X-One R and the G-One R. On the sides, we find the crampons of the first, with a longitudinal/transverse alternation which should offer both stability in slope and grip while in the center, it is the “boomerangs” of the second which have been used for their good balance between performance and grip both when braking and when pedaling.
The Schwalbe G-One RX Pro is available in 3 sizes: 40 mm, 45 mm and 50 mm. Previously limited to 45mm, the G-One R Pro and G-One RS Pro will also be available in 50mm in the future. The price is the same for all models in the family: €74.90 regardless of the size or color of the side.
