A few days ago, Jaguar inaugurated its new identity via a completely redesigned logo and simplistic lettering. The reactions were not long in coming, with essentially negative remarks. Several major brands like Burger King openly mocked the manufacturer's new emblem.
At the same time, the brand managed to create buzz since its promotional video was seen more than 2.7 million times on YouTube. We can only welcome this nice score for a brand which no longer sells new cars in its native country.
It is now the concept that is being laid bare, just a few hours before its official reveal. We can nevertheless be reassured since it looks like a car. Wokism has not reached the proportions that make an automobile. And on this point, it must be said that it corresponds to the fundamentals: long hood, low profile, large wheelbase and generous rear overhang. The silhouette of this coupe has style.
A future sedan with similar proportions
On the other hand, the execution of the whole is surprising to say the least. Difficult to make lines as massive and straight ! The front is satisfied with a full “grille”, very fine optics. Optics that do not exist on the rear part. There is no need to give a complete description, the images speak for themselves.
The interior is more reassuring with soft and harmonious shapes. The absence of screens, certainly hidden, adds to this Zen atmosphere.
What does this concept announce for the brand's future cars? Difficult to say at the moment… but these proportions are in agreement with its future large GT planned for 2026.
