LDonations are on the rise. This is what notaries reveal in their latest analysis covering the first nine months of the year. With 35,645 donations made since 1is January, including 24,721 of real estate, they recorded an increase of 18% compared to the same period in 2023. Clearly, the Belgian is more and more farsighted regarding the transfer of his property. “This can be explained by the fact that we are in a less favorable economic situation,” explains Renaud Grégoire, spokesperson for notaires.be. “Given the difficulty that young people in particular experience in gaining access to property today, parents are more inclined to help them without further delay. » To this factor, we can undoubtedly add another: donation, like other notarial matters, is more publicized today than in the past.
