The objective is “to make patients truly more autonomous, by providing them with the information that concerns them at the right time”.
The Doctolib application installs a functionality allowing its users to gather and share their health information, but does not want to compete with “Mon Espace Santé”, declared its boss Stanislas Niox-Chateau in an interview published Tuesday by Ouest-France. Users of the application will be able to “gather (in Doctolib) all their health information, their history, their treatments, their allergies, their vaccination record…”announces Stanislas Niox-Chateau.
“All they need is one click to share them with their caregivers, the same with those of their loved ones. Personalized prevention reminders will soon also be available”adds Stanislas Niox-Chateau. But questioned about a possible encroachment on the flowerbeds of “My Health Space”the digital health record developed by the State which today claims 15 million users, Stanislas Niox-Chateau responds in the negative. “My Health Space is a digital safe and a health record”while the objective of Doctolib is “to make patients truly more autonomous, by providing them with the information that concerns them at the right time.” “We are discussing with public authorities to create as many exchanges as possible between our solutions and Mon Espace Santé”adds Stanislas Niox-Chateau.

New features coming
The champion of online appointment booking, which has become one of the stars of French tech, is seeking to expand its positions in digital health, by developing its range of digital services for caregivers and their patients. On the caregiver side, Doctolib has just launched a consultation assistant based on artificial intelligence, which automates the writing of the consultation report. For patients, Doctolib plans in particular to offer in 2025 and 2026 “personalized medical content by pathology, so that patients have the right information”according to Stanislas Niox-Chateau.
The latter, who a year ago envisaged the profitability of Doctolib at the beginning of 2025, slips up when questioned about the achievement of this objective. “We are masters of our destiny. We are an independent company of which the State is one of the main shareholders. We reinvest a lot in improving our products”he simply indicates. Created eleven years ago, Doctolib now employs 3,000 people. The company is also established in Germany, and more recently in Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and England.
