In France, “a retraining mechanism is missing”
The boss of the CFDT would like a new mechanism for those who will find themselves on the sidelines. “There is a lack of a heavy retraining mechanism allowing us to quickly switch from one profession to another and to cope with all the transformations in our economy,” she believes.

In this same interview, Marylise Léon warns employers. “They have an effort to be transparent by proving that they have done everything possible to avoid layoffs. Those who have benefited from community assistance must also make public what they have received. If they cut their workforce without having provided this information, the administration must not give the green light to the social plan they present,” she warns. “We must even consider the reimbursement of the subsidies granted. The difficult period that the country is going through requires us to be more demanding. »
