The giant Amazon launched a new application on Wednesday offering products for $20 or less to compete with the popular Chinese applications Temu and Shein.

The products found in the application are therefore all very low priced and are delivered within one to two weeks.

“Finding great products at very low prices is important to our customers, and we continue to explore ways we can work with our seller partners so they can offer products at very low costs,” said Dharmesh Mehta, vice president of Amazon Global Selling Partner Services, in a statement.

Competitor to Temu, Shein and even TikTok Shop

All products sold on Amazon Haul are $20 or less. The majority are even sold for $10 or less, with some costing as little as $1, specifies the online commerce giant.

Prices that are reminiscent of those that can be found on the Chinese platforms Temu and Shein.

Additional discounts are even offered when customers purchase multiple products in the same transaction. For example, a 5% discount is offered for orders of $50 and more and 10% for purchases of $75 and more.

There are no delivery fees for orders of $25 and more, while a fee of $3.99 is charged for orders under $25.

The visual of the application, very colorful and filled with emojis, which contrasts with the usual appearance of the Amazon platform, also targets a younger clientele, who also uses TikTok Shop in the United States.

For the moment, the Amazon Haul application is only available in the United States and it is not known when it will be available to Canadians.
