Milk, before or after cereals? We will not respond here to the eternal breakfast debate, but we will tell you that you should not drink certain bottles of milk sold at Carrefour which are the subject of a national recall.

This Tuesday, November 12, 2024, Rappel Conso warns of two ranges of milk bottles sold on Carrefour shelves and recalled throughout the country. The cause: the milk could have curdled due to a “manufacturing defect, a sealing defect (microleaks, defective heat sealing, etc.) or packaging anomalies”.

Which products are affected?

Single bottles (barcode: 3560071510497) and packs of six (barcode: 3560071510503) are affected. This milk was marketed from September 6 to November 8, 2024.

The lot number is M24238 and the minimum use-by date is January 22, 2025.

  • The second product is Organic UHT Semi-Skimmed Milk sold in a one-liter bottle (barcode: 3270190025337) and in a pack of six (3270190216834). The lot number is M24245.

In both cases, this milk was sold between September 16 and November 5, 2024.

The minimum durability date is scheduled for January 29, 2025.

Health risks?

Concretely, Rappel Conso indicates that “these products were manufactured and/or stored in conditions that do not provide satisfactory health guarantees” and considers that milk can curdle, that is to say form clots.

These products are therefore likely to present a danger to the health of consumers.

Consumption reminder

However, the risks specified by the government agency are “mild stomach aches”.

What to do?

If you have these products at home, you can return them to the store where you will be offered a refund.

The recall procedure lasts until Wednesday January 8, 2025. For more information, a telephone number is available: 08 05 90 80 70.
