Same thing, Sergeant Major and Natalys partially saved, announce their direction

The children's clothing brands Du Pareil au same (DPAM), Sergent Major and Natalys, which had been placed in receivership, were partially saved by a continuation plan accepted by the courts, their management announced Thursday, November 7, confirming information from The Informed.

“We have lost between 400 and 500 jobs since the start of the pandemic”regretted to Agence -Presse (AFP) Paul Zemmour, the founder and director of the company which employs around 1,500 people and has 520 stores in France.

From the same thing, Sergent Major and Natalys, as well as their parent company, Générale pour l'enfant (GPE), had been placed in receivership, because they were affected by “social crises, the Covid-19 pandemic, the energy crisis and inflation”the group declared in 2023 to AFP.

A source close to the matter then specified that GPE had suffered a decline of 100 million euros in its turnover during the Covid-19 pandemic. “due to store closures”. The turnover had reached 275 million euros in 2022, added this source.

Worldwide, 250 stores closed

“After eighteen months of fighting and with the approval of the court (…)we are getting off to a good start, hoping that things go as smoothly as possible and that we are less dependent on negative events”declared Mr. Zemmour to AFP.

Around the world, 250 stores have already been closed, “mainly in France”estimated Mr. Zemmour, who recalled that Générale pour l'enfant employed a total of 2,000 people and had 650 points of sale.
