The German Christmas Market is expanding

The German Christmas Market of Quebec (MNAQ) will increase from 90 to 125 exhibitors spread over five sites this year. Around ten additional cabins, a show and a 1.2 km illuminated circuit will be added to the program.

By offering exhibitors the opportunity to rent a cabin for just a week or two, the German Christmas Market wants to give smaller companies the opportunity to be present.

The MNAQ says 400 applications are received each year.

Spectacle sound and light

Among the new features, a set of natural fir trees including a giant of almost 8 meters will be installed on the square in front of the Notre-Dame de Québec basilica-cathedral. They will be the backdrop of the show sound and light made by the Montreal company Eden Creative Studio. The music for this original creation presented every 60 minutes was selected by the musical director of the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, Clemens Schuldt, who was himself born in Germany.
