Addresses in Saint-François, Chomedey, and Laval-Ouest are currently deprived of water or have to boil it, we note on the website of the City of Laval, on the morning of Monday, November 4 .
Saint-François is particularly affected at the moment, while citizens living on Monty, Lambert, Doucet, Island, Denis streets, as well as a few places on Lévesque Boulevard East, have had to boil their drinking water since Thursday, October 31.
Chomedey is the other neighborhood that is currently very affected, while people living on Rue Rimbaud and Place Radisson have also had to respect a boil water advisory since Monday, October 28.
Still in Chomedey, the addresses of the 75e Avenue, between Perron and Curé-Labelle boulevards, must do the same, i.e. boil their running water, since Sunday, November 3.
Somewhat further west, a water interruption notice has been issued for residents of rue Jasmin, between rue Barrière and rue Ethier, since 8:30 a.m. on Monday, November 4, and should end around 5 p.m.
On the Laval-West side, a boil water advisory is still in effect, and has been since Friday 1is November, for the addresses of the 7e Avenue, between Sainte-Rose Boulevard and Saint-Antoine Road; as well as those of the 5e Avenue, still between Sainte-Rose Boulevard and Saint-Antoine Road, whose civic address #2045 is also affected.
Important conditions
Remember that “various circumstances can result in a preventive boil water notice, a regulatory boil water notice, a water interruption notice or a notice not to consume drinking water” , we also inform you on the City’s website.
Note also that a preventive boil water notice is “issued when an accidental situation can affect the quality of the water (generally the boil notice is preventive while awaiting the results of water analysis )”, also specifies the City on its website.
It is “valid until the issuance of a notice lifting the boil water advisory. It generally takes at least 48 to 72 hours before a boil water notice is issued,” we add for concerned citizens.
