The Swiss are used to seeing their health insurance premiums increase. Resigned, a large majority of them do not change insurer. Without necessarily realizing it, they can lose more than a thousand francs.
In Jura, ÖKK policyholders who have chosen “Casamed select” and the maximum excess will pay 1,058 francs more annually. Neuchâtel residents covered by EGK “Care” will see their bill increase by more than 1,400 francs.
Examples of this type are found in all cantons, to a lesser extent. The prices of models which may have been advantageous, particularly with high deductibles, soar by more than 700 francs per year.
While the average increase for 2025 is 6%, some premiums will increase by more than 20%. To help you see more clearly, the RTS compared all 2025 prices with those for 2024. The tables below do not show the most expensive premiums. They highlight the most significant progressions in percentage, which could have escaped the attention of policyholders.

If your model appears in one of these lists, it does not necessarily mean that you will find a cheaper alternative. However, it is probably worth re-examining the options available to you.
As we wrote recently, this exercise can also be useful if your cash register has disappeared and an insurer has assigned you a new default model.
