RTL Infos – Engine problem: Recall of more than 50,000 Citroën, Peugeot and Opel vehicles

The black streak does not stop for Stellantis after the affair of the defective airbags or the problem with the belt of its vehicles. The manufacturer must once again carry out an imposing recall of several brands.

Stellantis is obliged to recall more than 52,000 vehicles equipped with the 1.5 BlueHDi (DV5R E6.3) diesel engine following nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions exceeding regulatory limits, as explained by our colleagues at Capital.

In summary, this is a problem linked to pollutant emissions on one of its diesel engines which are installed in several models of the Citroën, Peugeot, Opel or even DS brands.

Small clarification, this recall is only valid for vehicles with less than 20,000 kilometers which mainly circulate in town.

This problem affects several models, including the Peugeot 208, 2008, 308, 3008, 5008, and Partner, as well as the Citroën C3, C4, C5 Aircross, certain Opels and the DS3 Crossback, all produced between January 2022 and January 2023.

Stellantis specifies that the current calibration guarantees correct efficiency once 20,000 kilometers are exceeded.

The owners concerned will be contacted directly by the manufacturer, who will cover all costs related to this operation.
