A Quebec SME that designed a platform to help businesses manage hybrid work has obtained more than $7 million in funding and now hopes to make a breakthrough in the United States.
“We want to accelerate our sales in the United States and show Quebecers that it is possible to grow a business and export,” explains the CEO of GPHY, Anthony Blais.
The company has experienced good growth since its founding in 2018. In the last year, its elia platform has been adopted by several Quebec companies, including Quebecor.
“Initially, we had three beta customers, and we had around 150 users. Today, we have 100 customers in Canada, and more than 20,000 users, employees and executives,” underlines Mr. Blais.
“If the demand is there, we will be able to supply the United States. Our solutions are super easy to implement, customers can do it themselves,” he explains.
New paradigm
The CEO of GPHY believes that his company’s progress can be explained by the fact that it responds to a “real need”.
“After the pandemic, there is not a company that has returned exactly to the way it was before, when everyone went to the office five days a week. Today, it is more flexible, and we see several companies reducing the size of their offices or even relocating to satellite offices,” says Mr. Blais.
The GPHY application, elia, integrates directly into Microsoft systems, and allows managers to have concrete data on the use of workspaces, in order to optimize their use.

“There are also benefits for the employee experience,” adds Anthony Blais. “They can see who is there, and this can, for example, prevent them from having to travel and find themselves participating in Teams meetings from the office when everyone has decided to stay at home.”
“And when you reduce your office space, the worst thing that can happen is that an employee moves and has no place to work. Our platform helps avoid that,” he adds.
