the renovation of the facade on the stock market will not be enough

Sunrise UPC. When is the end of the tunnel?

The financial management of Sunrise (UPC) has done everything to dissatisfy its customers and delight its shareholders! After UPC absorbed Sunrise, which preferred to give up its own brand with its catastrophic reputation, it did everything it could to ruin the once promising Sunrise brand. The American company continues in marketing with a sort of laundering which involves an IPO.

Indeed, this “reintroduction” on the stock market of Sunrise, now merged with UPC, will allow the American shareholder Liberty Global to distance itself and perhaps to assert a greater “Swissness” of the company, often accused here of American, with all that it can represent.

Sunrise is first and foremost a financial operator

Let us hope that this distancing will follow on the legal level and allow a better distance from the United States and its legal arsenal allowing them to access certain data to officially fight against terrorism following the Patriot Act .

But it doesn’t matter. The breath of Olaf Swantee is far away. Sunrise (UPC) is today primarily a financial scheme intended to milk the consumer until the last drop. So far, only shareholders have fully benefited from UPC’s digestion of Sunrise. Customers were left to cry and endure the price increases. Great synergies, right?

Sunrise (UPC) a long descent…

Thanks to Huawei’s work and skills, Sunrise once almost rivaled Swisscom’s mobile network. A time long gone since Sunrise (UPC) often does not do better than Salt, much more interesting with its promotions and its 10 Giga symmetrical fiber optic internet offer, where Sunrise often offers four times less on its coaxial cable. And again.

On the service side too, even though Sunrise was not really the best in this area, the new entity is often overtaken on all sides, weakened by the bad culture of UPC (Cablecom). So what will happen on November 15, the day of the listing on the Swiss SWX stock exchange, according to this press release? As I already have no shares in this area for reasons of independence, it is clear that I would not buy anything there even if I could or wanted to.

PS
Telecom operators have not really been interested in their core business for many years. Generally, telecommunications are for them, all brands combined, a way to make a lot of money easily and quickly. Sad mentality. The best companies are those that truly want to excel in their field to show what they can do.
