Motorcycles stolen in Geneva: “In the photo there is a piece of mine!”

“I read an article from “20minutes”, I saw the photo: and there, I knew where my stolen motorbike had gone, a week ago in Perly (GE)”, smiles Stéphane. This traveled to the 9th arrondissement of (F); where after the crazy journey of another Genevan, Luc*, who went looking for his 1000cm³, the local police seized several vehicles stolen in Switzerland.

Stéphane’s good humor is, however, overshadowed by a rather annoying detail: “When I say that there is my motorbike in the photo… No. There is only one end: the blue suitcase which, originally, was placed at the left rear of my machine. This therefore means that the latter has already been partially broken into spare parts. My rain gear and gear that was in the suitcase are probably missing.” This Friday, the fifty-year-old joined the Lyon Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC). According to him, the latter confirmed that its engine capacity had been found. When contacted, the Lyon police did not wish to give us any information due to the ongoing investigation.

As in Luc’s case, Stéphane’s 1250cm³ was stolen during the night from Friday to Saturday last week. The GPS tracker with which it was equipped first located the large engine in the Acacias sector. “The Geneva police were fantastic,” notes the biker. A patrol combed the entire neighborhood; unfortunately, in vain. It was like finding a needle in a haystack.” The motorcycle, however, reappeared at the bottom of an underground parking lot, about a hundred kilometers away.
