In Janais, near , the Mayers company placed in receivership

“We are certain that modular housing has a bright future, but the context is complicated. » Two days after the placement in receivership of Mayers (13 employees) and Mayers industries (62 employees), which manufacture wooden panels and modules with biosourced materials, Quentin Goudet, president and CEO, wants to be combative. “We wanted to open our capital but we didn’t have the time. At the start of the year, our shareholder Réalités told us of its difficulties and its desire to refocus on its core business: project management. We did not have time to open the capital. »

As a result, the 11,000 m² company based in La Janais in -de-Bretagne, in the former Stellantis buildings, is fighting to get going again. “The judicial recovery procedure allows us to freeze our debt and get some fresh air. The goal is to restart activity at a normal pace. Because our order book is full until the 3rd quarter of 2025.” The objective for the coming weeks: to work on a sale to a new shareholder under the eye of a judicial administrator. “We want to capitalize on the investments made by Réalités to manufacture its panels in the factory on an industrial scale, before being assembled into modules and delivered to the site. We have know-how that we want to keep because the future is bright. »

In the meantime, the company will maintain its commitments. In September 2025, it must notably deliver 520 modular housing units to the School of Business campus.
