National recall launched for possibly contaminated Rana brand tagliatelle

A national recall has been issued for Rana brand Tagliatelle in White Sauce with Seasoned Chicken and Mushrooms due to possible listeria contamination.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says consumers should not use, sell, serve or distribute the recalled product.

The recall concerns packages weighing 1.14 kg and with an expiration date from October 10 to November 16 inclusive.

The food inspection agency says food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not have visible spoilage or a suspicious odor, but can still make pregnant women, the elderly and children sick. people with weakened immune systems.

Possible symptoms include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle pain, severe headache and neck stiffness.

The agency says there have been no reports of illness associated with the recalled product. The agency recommends that consumers throw it away or return it.

The agency says anyone who may have become ill after consuming the recalled product should contact their health care provider.

The recalled product contains UPC code 8 77448 00481 1.
