The airline United Arlines announces a new long haul between Nice and Washington DC from May 24, 2025.
A new international airline will be inaugurated at Nice airport in 2025. This Thursday, October 10, United Airlines announced the opening of a direct connection between Nice and Washington DC from May 24, 2025.
During the next summer period, there will be four direct flights per week which will connect the capital of the United States to the city on the French Riviera.

The mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, welcomes “this good news” and assures that this additional destination to the United States makes the city of Nice “more attractive and strengthens our connection to the United States.”
Renaud Muselier, president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, also reacted. He is delighted with the creation of this new long haul in a message published on X (formerly Twitter).
“Our Southern Region always better connected to the world[..]good news for our territory, our inhabitants and our businesses,” he says.
The first direct flight on May 24 will transport passengers from Washington to Nice. Regarding the schedules of these flights, takeoff from the United States is scheduled at 5:20 p.m. and landing the next day at 8 a.m. The flight in the other direction will be scheduled at 10:05 a.m. from the Côte d’Azur for a landing scheduled for 1:55 p.m. local time, an estimated flight time of around ten hours.
Due to the time difference, takeoff days are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from Washington DC and Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from Nice.
