From May 2025, United Airlines will offer direct flights from to Washington

From next May, passengers from the Riviera will be able to make the -Washington round trip directly. United Airlines has just announced the launch of a new seasonal route with four flights per week.

“For summer 2025, our passengers in Nice will benefit from expanded travel choices, a direct connection to the US capital, as well as convenient connections via our hubs in Washington DC and New York/Newark to 78 destinations in America”rejoices Marcel Fuchs, General Director of International Sales at United Airlines, in a press release.

Concretely, between May 24 and September 25, 2025, rotations will be carried out between Nice and Washington: four flights in each direction per week (“subject to government approval”specifies the company).

Passengers will travel on a Boeing 767-300, offering 30 United PolarisSM business class suites with direct aisle access, 24 United Premium PlusSM seats and 149 economy class seats, including 32 United Economy PlusSM seats.

This journey is in addition to that between the Côte d’Azur airport and New York. United Airlines also operates year-round flights between -Charles de Gaulle 1 and its hubs in New York, Washington, Chicago and San Francisco.

A Nice-Washington round trip represents consumption of 3.1 tonnes of CO2.
