On a Qantas flight from Sydney to Tokyo, a technical failure in the entertainment system forced all passengers to watch the same movie. The problem? In this case it was “ Daddy »a 2023 drama starring Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn.

So far, no worries. Except that this film, rated 17+ due to its language, sexual content and explicit nudity scenes, caused some discomfort among passengers. We are thinking here in particular of families with children. CNN reports that according to a witness, the film even contained “sexting” scenes where explicit dialogue could be read without headphones.

Qantas acknowledged that the choice of film was not appropriate and apologized for the incident, which was surprising to say the least. The airline says the crew first attempted to repair the screens individually before ultimately changing films.
