Inactive companies: Extension of the regularization period

The General Directorate of Taxes announced the extension of the measure relating to the regularization of the tax situation of inactive companies. The new deadline runs until the end of December 2024. “The DGI reminds companies which have not achieved any turnover or have paid only the minimum of the minimum contribution, for the last four financial years, and which wish to definitively cease their activities, that they can benefit from exemption from tax control as well as the automatic cancellation of sanctions for failure to file declarations and pay taxes for non-prescribed financial years,” it is indicated. These companies are invited to subscribe, electronically, to the declaration of total cessation of activity during the year 2024, to spontaneously pay, within the same deadline of this declaration, a lump sum of 5,000 DH from the IS or of the IR as the case may be, for each non-prescribed financial year, and to present to the tax service to which they belong any document justifying their removal from the commercial register and a request for removal of the professional tax.
