Morocco participates in the 16th “Fruit Attraction” Fair in Madrid

Madrid – Actors and professionals from the fruit and vegetable sector in Morocco are taking part, for the 6th consecutive year, in the Madrid “Fruit Attraction” Fair, one of the most important international events dedicated to the agricultural sector, the 16th edition of which is takes place from October 8 to 10.

The inauguration ceremony of this edition, organized by the Madrid Fair and the Spanish Federation of Associations of Fruit and Vegetable Producers-Exporters, was marked by the presence of the Spanish Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agriculture. ‘Food, Luis Planas.

The Moroccan pavilion, set up by Morocco Foodex (autonomous export control and coordination establishment), houses around thirty exporters from the sector representing all regions of the Kingdom.

They aim, through their participation in this Show, to present their offers to global buyers, strengthen trade and explore new opportunities for economic partnerships, indicated the director of promotion and development within Morocco Foodex, El Mehdi El Alami, in a statement to MAP.

Laid out over 600m2, the pavilion highlights the know-how and potential of Moroccan companies operating in the fresh produce sector, as well as the richness of the Moroccan exportable offer through the exhibition of a diverse range of agricultural products. , underlined Mr. El Alami.

Moroccan participation in this essential exhibition for the fruit and vegetable sector will allow national exporters to highlight the Moroccan exportable offer in all its diversity, he added.

The Tanger Med port complex is participating in this event with a stand presenting the port and logistics offer serving importers, exporters and operators in the sector.

Considered one of the most important trade fairs in the fruit and vegetable sector in the Mediterranean basin, Fruit Attraction has become a global benchmark in the fresh produce sector, attracting more than 100,000 visitors representing more than 140 countries and more than 2,140 exhibitors.

According to the organizers, the Show aims to be the global epicenter of fresh produce marketing, where “innovation, quality and diversity are the main arguments for which operators and retailers from around the world come together to plan their campaigns at a key moment”.
