The Casablanca Stock Exchange ends down

The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed its trading in decline on Tuesday, its main index, the MASI, falling 0.97% to 14,019.63 points (pts).

The MASI.20, an index bringing together the 20 most liquid stocks, lost 1.06% to 1,125.87 pts and the MASI.ESG, an index of companies with the best ESG rating, as published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, has dropped 1.05% to 1,005.75 pts.

For its part, the MASI Mid and Small Cap, the thematic index which calculates the price performance of small and medium-sized companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, fell by 0.52% to 1,342.84 pts.

On the international side, the FTSE CSE Morocco 15 and the FTSE CSE Morocco All-Liquid respectively dropped 0.81% to 13,259.24 pts and 0.76% to 11,771.52 pts.

On a sectoral level, the transport services sector recorded the largest decline (-3.41%), followed by those of real estate participation and development (-3.4%) and engineering and industrial equipment goods. (-3.13%).

On the other hand, the pharmaceutical industry index showed the largest increase (+3.28%), ahead of beverages (+2.04%) and real estate investment companies (+1.95%). .

Trades amounted to 380.24 million dirhams (MDH), carried out mainly on the Central market (Shares) and dominated by transactions on BCP (52.83 MDH), Mutandis SCA (41.18 MDH) and Akdital (40 MDH). .23 MDH).

The market capitalization, for its part, exceeded 723.84 billion dirhams.

On an individual level, Résidences Dar Saada (-5.79% to 74.99 DH), Stroc Industrie (-5.14% to 55 DH), Balima (-5.07% to 218.35 DH), Jet Contractors (-4.73% to 1,148 DH) and Addoha (-4.72% to 34.3 DH) posted the biggest declines. Conversely, the best performances were achieved by Sothema (+3.78% to 960 DH), Aradei Capital (+2.56% to 520 DH), Realizations Mécaniques (+1.9% to 452.45 DH ), Maghrebail (+1.08% to 935 DH) and Minière Touissit (+0.82% to 1,595 DH).
